The former Barcelona star is now a doubt for the start of the Club World Cup, with the expanded vesion of the tournament set to debut in just over two weeks, on June 14, in the United States.
Lionel Messi’s Miami will kickstart the Club World Cup against Egyptian side Al Ahly, with Portugal’s Porto and Brazil’s Palmeiras being their remaining opponents in the group stages of the competition.
