After the victory over Sevilla, Fede Valverde spoke to ‘Real Madrid TV’. The Uruguayan was satisfied with the victory and said he was looking forward to the Club World Cup this summer.
Uruguayan Fede Valverde showed his excitement at playing with Real Madrid in the first Club World Cup in history and assured that he is “very much looking forward” to representing the club in this tournament with the aim of winning the third title of the season.
“I’m looking forward to the Club World Cup and I’m very proud to represent Real Madrid in this competition. We will try to win it and give the fans another title,” he said on ‘Real Madrid TV’.
Fede Valverde highlighted the teamwork carried out by Real Madrid to beat Sevilla 0-2 at home, with nothing at stake in LaLiga EA Sports after losing the title race to Barcelona.
“The collective work has been key. It was a strange atmosphere because we weren’t playing for much, but when you wear this shirt you have to defend it with pride and honour. It was another chance to get a win and keep on winning,” he said.
“I congratulate the scorers (Mbappe and Bellingham) because they were the ones who insisted the most looking for the goal. The second shows that the youth players work well and that’s how the rewards come. The important thing is to keep working together. There’s one game left, the last one with our fans and in our stadium, and we have to finish the league with a victory,” he said.
