Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the press room after the dramatic victory over Mallorca. The Italian coach admitted that he leaves calm and serene after doing “everything he could”.
Real Madrid fought until the end and came from behind to beat Mallorca and take the victory. Carlo Ancelotti, in the press room, gave his first impressions on the matter.
“The team played very well, they fought hard in the match. An absolutely deserved victory, everyone made a great effort and we are very happy. This match did not start well, but the team has done well in every way,” he began.
Ancelotti, who is already facing his last days in the Real Madrid dugout: “It has not been different, every time I sit on the Bernabeu bench is something special like all the others”.
“I think that the day I leave Real Madrid I will leave with peace of mind, serenity, I have done everything I could do. I’ve had a great time and football doesn’t end. My teams will always try to win until the last second,” he added.
He also boasted about his team’s performance: “The team has not given up despite the difficulty. We have been able to make up for these absentees, which are many of very important players, with a good attitude of the collective, the individual… I have never seen a team that has shot 40 times at goal as we have done today”.
Regarding the management of the group: “It has been quite simple and without any problems. The management has been good because all the players have had the necessary respect for me and in this sense there have been no problems of any kind. The ones we have had have not been for this reason. The left hand, this nonsense… we have had problems in the balance on the pitch, injuries… we have not been able to fix it. The left hand, the whip are very silly things”.
He praised Vallejo: “I like him a lot because he has played very little, but his attitude has always been top. Every training session… it has been complicated, as I have said other times, we have preferred to give preference to young players like Asencio”.
Finally, Ancelotti spoke about the availability of the injured players for the end of the season: “Tchouameni is coming back, and the doubts of Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius with Brahim are what we have. Lunin has been given a stomp on the hand and could recover”.
